Steven Loomis has experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of civil litigation, including commercial disputes, employment law, construction law, personal injury, products liability, and trucking and transportation cases.  He has handled trials and appeals throughout Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Midland/Odessa, and more.

Employment

Mr. Loomis recently served as a senior trial attorney for Travelers Insurance and Farmers Insurance for many years; he had previously been with the firms of Smith & Polewski, PC in Dallas and then was a shareholder in Polewski-Loomis, PC

Education

Mr. Loomis received his J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 1995.  While there, he was a Notes and Comments editor for Baylor Law Review and received the Constitutional Law Scholar award.  He was also a member of the Order of Barristers.  He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Baylor University.

Bar admissions and activities

Steven Loomis was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1995.  He has been admitted to practice before the Northern and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Courts in Texas.

Personal

Mr. Loomis was born in Waco, Texas.  He moved to Austin in 2001, where he now resides with his wife.
